Keni is barely making it by in small town Anza Junction, one of those outskirts towns that’s barely on the verge of existing. When a sexy new neighbor moves in across from her in the ramshackle apartment her ex left her in, she suddenly becomes the unexpected recipient of his scowling face.

Eli’s dislike of her is clear, but so is their mutual attraction. And when the summer heat hits a near breaking point, the two somehow seem to find refuge in each other and the escape that distraction provides.
