LAST DAY AT SEA (Friday): Today was our final crui

LAST DAY AT SEA (Friday): Today was our final cruising day 😭 We were up early for breakfast, then returned our library books and said goodbye to some of our friends. We attended City on the Sea, a behind the scenes presentation about crew life, then spent some time in the jacuzzi, ate lunch by the pool and packed our suitcases. For our last night, we schedule a specialty dinner at the Pinnacle Grill with our friends Dayne and Laurie and then did a little gambling before calling it a night. We had such a blast on this cruise, and I can’t wait to do another one…hopefully very soon!

CRUISE DAY 6 (Thursday): This was by far our favor

CRUISE DAY 6 (Thursday): This was by far our favorite day. We got off the boat around 1030 when we docked in Cozumel, Mexico, wandered out of the international cruise terminal and found some fun shops to buy gifties for our nieces and a new hat to protect me from the sun. The best part was finding a hole-in-the-wall taco spot mostly serving locals. *chefs kiss* Amazing. We left the port with a group on a bus to go to our excursion, a cooking class at Playa Mia that was so fun and engaging and such a wonderfully delicious way to spend an afternoon. A couple from our dining room table was on the same excursion and we shared a cooking station. After eating our creations (sopes, tilapia with veg, and cinnamon sugar plantains) we got in the water for a bit before busing back to the boat. I gambled while Danny watched football, and then we danced at the Orange Party, which was live music and laughter and absolute ridiculousness. Then we snuggled up and completely passed out, exhausted from the day.

CRUISE DAY 5 (Wednesday): We arrived in Grand Caym

CRUISE DAY 5 (Wednesday): We arrived in Grand Cayman at 8am, but neither of us felt like getting off the boat. A lazy day by the pool felt like a lovely idea instead, so after breakfast that’s exactly what we did. Oscillating between hot tub, pool and shade before lunch, then a nap to sleep off the sun. (And yes, I “accidentally” got a little red today, too) Danny got a massage while I gambled a bit, and then we got glammed up for our second dressy dinner. We’ve really enjoyed chatting with everyone at our table, but especially Laurie and Dane, a retired couple from Seattle. Laurie was born in Hawaii and lived there for much of her life…what a small world!

CRUISE DAY 4 (Tuesday): We docked in Ocho Rios, Ja

CRUISE DAY 4 (Tuesday): We docked in Ocho Rios, Jamaica and made the mistake of getting off the boat while it was pouring rain. We walked all the way to the end of the dock but decided to return to the boat because we were drenched, only to have the rain disappear as soon as we got on board. After I bristled a little bit ☺️ and changed out of my wet clothes, we walked through town and set up shop at Ocho Rios Bay Beach. I read, Danny swam, we drank beer, and I accidentally got a little too much sun. Back on board, I finished reading The Villa by Rachel Hawkins, we went to dinner with our table, and then relaxed in the thermal pools. We ended the evening reading in the Crowe’s Nest again (it’s clearly a favorite location!) I’m stoked with the fact I’ve had no sea sickness so far on this trip. Fingers crossed it continues!
