The past week has absolutely FLOWN by and I’m trying to keep up but feeling a bit floundering.
We have family in town, which is amazing, but also distracting. I want to spend all of my time with sweet Beba (my husband’s cousin’s 73-year-old mom) and her sister. I want to keep taking her places and doing adorable photoshoots where she pulls her shirt down her shoulder as if she’s being risqué. But I also have a book coming out in ONE WEEK and I’m starting to get in release day mode.
This coming week is also Spring Break for my hubby, who is finally getting a nice bit of time off from his college courses (he has over 100% in ALL of his classes right now. SO proud.) We are going on a vacation with three other families on our block to a neighboring island here in Hawaii. 12 people in one house with 7 adults and 5 kids under ten years old. It’s going to be amazing. And also distracting.
I’m going to have to make sure I still carve out time for myself so that writing and work-related stuff is still a priority. It’s easy to drift off course when you work for yourself. But I feel like something big and wonderful is coming and I just have to keep pushing and pushing until I get there.
On an unrelated note, I’ve been a total lazy bones recently and have not been eating healthy or exercising like I should be. Time to get my butt back in gear.
So excited for this vacation. For some time hiking, beaching, and spending time with people we love.
What do you have planned for your spring break? How do you keep yourself moving when there are too many distractions?
